Exacting attention to detail matters, even aesthetically. For this project, Honolulu Roofing was commissioned to incorporate the hotel’s logo into the rooftop design. From the Army Corps of Engineers to the hotel management and other interested parties, a total of five agencies had input on the design and installation process. Our company effectively managed the communication and implementation of ideas from all sides. Specifications required precise execution and the results were spectacular.

But while the lobby roof created a design challenge, over 30 varying roof levels presented significant logistical hurdles. Safely removing and replacing the existing roofing system required coordinating workers on two sides of the campus moving forward simultaneously to a staging area in front of the hotel.

At one point, the project involved 18 scaffolds with 25 ramps, 4 stair towers, and 4 pedestrian tunnels for safety. Using a 220’ material hoist attached to the front, a 110’ crane and two grade all forklifts, HRC was able to bring this project within schedule and budget.
